Bardzo Ładnie foundation in cooperation with Trade Section of Polish Embassy in Dublin is very proud and happy to announce a Polish stand at this year’s Galway Food festival! It will be the only non-commercial and ethnic entry for 2016 Galway Food Festival. The festival itself takes place between 24th and 28th of March 2016 (the Easter weekend) and comprises of talk series, shows, meetings and a festival centre with food stands!
This spring we decided to bring to you an ever so slightly foreign (but not really!) concept of dishes based around curd cheese. Extremely wide-spread in Polish cuisine and slightly forgotten in Ireland the product can be used to create wonderful and tasty dishes! Some of which will be available at our Stand. Those dishes are a fundamental part of Polish Easter tradition and showing them to you during a live cooking show will be Szymon Miśniak, Chef with years of experience while working in a Michelin recommended restaurant and a true passion for all things “food”! Szymon will be preparing curd cheese stuffed dumplings in different variations and in the process explaining the process behind producing and history of curd cheese in Poland.
We would also like to use this opportunity to invite everyone to our Easter Egg contest (more info available via our facebook page). The Easter eggs will be exhibited in our Galway Food Festival stand. During the festival we will also choose the winners of the contest and distribute the prizes!
