The Polish-Vietnamese Business Forum is over
Over a hundred Polish entrepreneurs, the largest Vietnamese companies and representatives of the authorities of both countries – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Ministers Nguyen Hong Dien and Krzysztof Paszyk. This is what the Friday’s Polish-Vietnamese Business Forum organized in Warsaw by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, the Ministry of Development and Technology of Polish and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam looked like.

During the event, numerous representatives of business and State authorities from Poland and Vietnam talked about the most promising sectors for cooperation. Over 150 Polish entrepreneurs discussed with representatives of almost 30 largest Vietnamese companies, such as Vietnam Electricity, Vietnam National Chemical Group and Vietnam Airlines, about the possibilities of cooperation, in among others, the chemical, cosmetics, fuel, automotive and agri-food industries.
Opportunities for bilateral cooperation
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien emphasized during their speeches that Poland is an important partner for Vietnam in the region of Central and Eastern Europe and a gateway to the European Union. They also agreed that they want to strengthen Polish-Vietnamese relations and increase investment and capital cooperation between our countries.
However, the Forum was not only about speeches by representatives of State authorities. Friday’s event was also an opportunity to establish valuable business contacts and listen to panel discussions, among others, about the successes of Polish companies in Vietnam until now. In order to strengthen relations between our countries, the Forum also presented specific, prospective investment and business opportunities on the Vietnamese market.
Promising markets and strengthening economic relations
Vietnam is one of the fastest-growing economies in Southeast Asia. The local market has been classified by our government as one of the five most promising for the development of the Polish economy. From January to October 2024, the value of exports from Poland to Vietnam amounted to almost EUR 312 million.
Poland is also one of the EU countries that has most significantly increased trade with Vietnam in recent years. The sectors for prospective cooperation are the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, IT and Smart City industries. Investment and capital cooperation, although implemented on a small scale, is also showing an upward trend. There are over 250 companies with Vietnamese capital in Poland, and the value of Polish foreign investments registered in Vietnam, according to Vietnamese data, amounts to a total of about USD 500 million.
