Koreans are investing in Poland

The Korean company AJU POLAND will build a factory in Bytyń, for the production of steel products from coated sheets – informed the Ministry of Development and Technology. The new investment will be located in the area managed by the Kostrzyn-Słubice Special Economic Zone, approx. 30 km from the capital of Wielkopolska, Poznań.

The factory in Poland will be AJU STEEL’s  fourth production plant in the world – after South Korea, China and Mexico and its launch is planned for 2024. Poland’s convenient location in the region will guarantee shortening supply chains.

Depending on the expectations of our customers, sheet metal will be cut, stamped, grinded, polished, coated with coatings, including colour, in order to obtain modern and aesthetic shapes, structures and textures

– informed Do Yean Lee, President of AJU POLAND.

During the laying of the cornerstone for the new factory, Deputy Minister Grzegorz Piechowiak stressed that the investment is more proof that Poland is an attractive country for foreign investors and modern industry.

The production plant will be built as part of the Polish Investment Zone. An incentive for Investors was  the opportunity to take advantage of the tax relief while committing that the investment will be built in accordance with ESG.

Obtaining certificates proving a low impact on the environment, supporting the education of employees and the local community, and undertaking activities in the field of employee welfare were some of the criteria that AJU POLAND will have to meet in order to obtain tax relief in the Polish Investment Zone

– emphasized Magdalena Hilszer, Vice-President of the Kostrzyn-Słubice Special Economic Zone.
