In Singapore interest in the Polish technology scene is growing

AngelHack Global Hackathon Series will come to Poland for the first time. This is among other things due to the cooperation of the Singapore office of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency with the Tribe Accelerator, which has focused on Warsaw. The capital of Poland has thus joined a cyclical initiative organized in innovation centres scattered around the world, during which teams of developers compete to create a solution to a given technological problem.

The global competition, which brings together the world’s best programmers, designers, entrepreneurs and technology enthusiasts to push the boundaries of innovation, will come to Poland for the first time. Thanks to the Warsaw edition of the Global Hackathon Series, developers from all over the country will be able to take part in an adrenaline-filled 24-hour hackathon, where innovation knows no boundaries and the possibilities are endless.

We are very pleased with the decision to include Poland in the Global Hackathon Series. Especially since this year Warsaw is the only European location. From the perspective of our Singapore office, this is a clear signal of the growing interest in the Polish technology scene and this part of Europe. For entrepreneurs from Poland, participation in the hackathon will be an opportunity for them to present themselves in front of an international audience and, above all, a valuable experience

– comments Magdalena Smolak, Head of PAIH’s Foreign Trade Office in Singapore.

However, the hackathon is not everything, participants will also be able to take part in keynote sessions and interactive workshops. The event will also be an opportunity to establish new contacts, exchange experiences with other innovators and broaden horizons with industry mentors. The winning team from Warsaw will also have a chance to compete on the international arena and take part in the Grand Finale of the Global Hackathon Series, which will take place in Singapore later this year. As much as $180,000 awaits the winner of the entire competition, in which, according to the organizers’ predictions, over 5000 developers will take part.

The Warsaw hackathon will start on June 15, 2024 at the Google Warsaw Campus. The Polish Investment and Trade Agency is the patron of the event.
