Export potential of the Polish economy
Strong economy, innovative companies, openness to cooperation – all this makes Poland one of the most dynamic economies in Europe. A country of large export potential, located at the very heart of the continent, with state-of-the-art industrial base, highly skilled human resources and flexible SME sector, which successfully supplies products and provides services to the most demanding global markets.
Three decades of continuous economic growth make Poland a reliable partner and a strong player on the European economic arena.
Global shocks, including the 2008 financial crisis, COVID-19 pandemic or pending war in Ukraine, which has significantly affected the security and logistics in the region, did not hinder the economic development of the country. Poland demonstrated resilience and adaptability, strengthening its position as one of the pillars of stability in the Central and Eastern Europe. It played a pivotal role in maintaining supply chains, organising humanitarian aid and building regional security.
Internationalisation of the Polish economy is featured by dynamic progresses. Export of goods and services accounts currently for more than 50% of the Polish GDP and reached a record level of EUR 438 million in 2024, which is the highest value in the history of Poland. This means that the Polish entrepreneurs increasingly satisfy the demand of foreign consumers rather than Polish.

Although the European Union countries remain the key sales markets, Poland successfully expands its presence on the non-EU markets. Increase in export by nearly 8% confirms that Poland becomes an important provider of state-of-the-art digital, technological and engineering solutions.
