composite flat steel-rubber
balance (tail) ropes type ZEP
for underground shaft mines with Koepe friction hoists/winders.
Since 2001 ZEP ropes have been working in the harshest conditions of deep-mining shafts both in Poland and on four continents.
Performance-wise - one of the heaviest-run ropes made 2,2 Mio. hoist-cycles (skip) and the oldest ropes have been performing perfectly fine for over 17,5 years in operations (cage).

Steel-rubber balance ZEP ropes are significantly superior to conventional flat or round steel balance ropes thanks to the following advantages:
• Long (avg. 10-12 years) effective lifetime
• High safety level
• Low maintenance costs
• Complete lack of rotation
• Low elongation
• High flexibility
• Lack of electrostatics and
• Possibility of rubber surface repair inside the shaft.
ZEP ropes are manufactured in the weight range: 4,0 ~ 33,3 kg/m.
