The pavilion and exhibition

The Poland Pavilion is located in the “Saving Life” thematic zone and has a total area of nearly 1000 m2. The permanent exhibition, which consists of a combination of modern technologies and traditional solutions, is highly appreciated by visitors.  It is a fascinating journey through the landscapes, traditions and spirit of Poland – a journey that stimulates the imagination and engages all the senses. A well-thought-out concept of the sightseeing path leads the audience through unique spaces – from landscapes generated by artificial intelligence, through installations inspired by Polish folklore and handicrafts, to subtle elements that celebrate the fleeting beauty of Poland’s natural resources.

The Pavilion’s unique showcase are Chopin recitals, held three times a day in a specially prepared concert hall. It is a unique opportunity to listen to the music of an outstanding Polish composer, in the heart of Japan. To date, more than 500 recitals have been held, played by pianists associated with the Fryderyk Chopin Institute.

Also very popular among Expo’s visitors were, special concerts organized by the Poland Pavilion on other stages at  Expo or in Osaka, such as the performance of Leszek Możdżer, the Orchestra of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music or the symphonic poem “Symbiosis Symphony” composed by Łukasz L.U.C. Rostkowski as part of the celebrations of the end of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Visits and delegations

In addition to the thousands of visitors who visited the exhibition every day, the Pavilion also hosted numerous official delegations, among others, including Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado, Japan’s Ambassador to Poland Akira Kono, Lech Walesa, representatives of the European Parliament, representatives of the Polish Government and regional authorities, as well as numerous representatives of the world of culture and business from both  Poland and Japan. The meetings were a unique opportunity to promote Poland and strengthen international relations.

Economic and cultural events

One of the pillars of Poland’s presence at Expo 2025, in addition to the permanent exhibition, are unique economic and cultural events. The most important of them are the regional weeks – an initiative enabling the presentation of the richness and diversity of Polish Voivodeships.

Since April 13th, six such events have already taken place, each of which had its own individual character and program. Guests could learn about the unique cultural heritage of Polish regions, their offer for tourist, local products, innovative projects and investment potential. Regional weeks are not only presentations and multimedia exhibitions, but also craft shows, workshops for visitors, concerts and unique meetings, creating a real space for establishing international contacts.

In addition to regional weeks, the Pavilion also regularly hosts special thematic days devoted to selected issues from various areas of Poland’s social and cultural life. Among them were, among others,  Days of Polish Science and Education, the celebration of our National Flag Day,  Constitution Day on the 3rd May, the Polish Day of Kindness and the Day of the Sea. Each of these events was very popular among visitors and were an important opportunity to present Poland as a country with a rich tradition and a modern face.

Economic events are also an integral part of Poland’s presence at  Expo – so far, six industry seminars, eight economic missions, the medical conference “United to save lives” and the Polish-Japanese Export Forum, which was attended by over three hundred representatives of the business world, Government institutions and media from Poland and Japan, have been organized.  Such initiatives are aimed at emphasizing the innovativeness of Polish enterprises, their technological advancement and openness to international cooperation.

Expo 2025: promotion of Poland

The first three months of Poland’s presence at Expo 2025 were a time of intensive promotion of our country on the international arena. The events and initiatives presented Poland as a modern and innovative country, which at the same time cherishes its history and tradition. The next weeks of our presence at  Expo in Osaka are ahead of us – with a program as rich and diverse as the one from the first part of the Pavilion’s activity.
