MIPIM (from the French Le Marché International des Professionnels de L’immobilier) is the International Investment Property Fair. Currently, the event takes place on three continents: North America, Asia and Europe. Participation in the event provides a good opportunity to gain information about available investment areas and current trends. Poland  took the opportunity to present its investment portfolio, which was promoted on eight thematic stands – one national and several representing selected cities and regions. The National stand was prepared by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency in cooperation with the following  partners – Special Economic Zones: Kostrzyn-Słubice, Legnica and Wałbrzych, cities: Rzeszów, Lublin, Zielona Góra and Bydgoszcz and the Polish Chamber of Electromobility Development, the Industrial Development Agency and Daily newspaper Gazeta Prawna. The Regional stands were prepared by Pomerania, Silesia and the cities of Łódź, Katowice, Poznań, Warsaw and Wrocław.

Visitors to the stands could learn about the advantages of investing in Poland, the real estate on offer and the economic potential of our country and its regions.

In addition to the promotion on the stands, a conference entitled “Poland: Opportunities for International Investors. Latest trends, prospects and challenges” was organised. During a series of short presentations and a discussion panel, among other things, current investments were summarized and current trends in Poland were presented.

According to data from the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, in the years 2020-2022 the value of foreign investments in Poland grew. In 2022, with the support of the Agency, 126 investment projects with a total value of EUR 3.7 billion were completed with a positive decision, which is a significant increase compared to previous years. As flagships, the Agency indicated two currently implemented projects in the automotive industry.

PAIH’s representatives drew attention to the current trends in locating foreign investments in Poland, including, among other things, the growing interest in investments in technologically advanced production plants and R&D centers. The project of the electric vehicle software development center in Krakow and the electric van factory in Jawor were given as examples.

The next edition of the Fair will take place at the end of November in New York and at the beginning of December in Hong Kong.
