On November 27, at the DMZ technology incubator - Ryerson University in Toronto, a meeting was held to promote the potential for development and cooperation within the Canadian and Polish startup ecosystems and the possibilities of financing in both EU and Canada

The meeting was organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Toronto, The Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) represented by the Foreign Trade Office (ZBH) in Toronto in cooperation with "Konekt" Polish Canadian Professionals and The Young Polish Canadian Professionals Association.

Participants of the meeting learned about the dynamics of development of Polish and Canadian startups, Polish innovation centers and current financing programs supporting EU entrepreneurs, as well as the offer of ecosystems supporting setting up of operations in Canada.

The key speakers of this event were Bogdan Szafrański (Polish Development Fund - PFR Group), Jason Lee (venture program expert at MaRS Discovery District in Toronto) and Barry Hillier (co-founder and director of innovation at eQuo – a platform for entrepreneurs, innovators, students, teachers, institutions, companies and people associated with technology and innovation sector in Ontario).
