The medical devices and pharmaceutical sector is one of the most important industries of Polish economy. It makes a valuable contribution to the development of medicine, improving patient care and increasing access to effective and safe medical solutions.
Poland is recording an increase in the number of companies producing medical and pharmaceutical products as well as those offering new technological solutions. The value of exported products is also growing. The position of Polish companies operating in the medical and pharmaceutical sector in the international arena and their recognition abroad is systematically rising.

Business Support Organisations in Poland:
POLMED
POLMED is a leading, nationwide trade association in Poland that brings together manufacturers and distributors of medical devices, actively supporting innovation in the health sector, including digital health and next-generation medical technologies. - advocating for its members by initiating and influencing legislative changes, especially in healthcare regulation,
- advising its members, providing legal and sector-specific guidance, and organizing training sessions and conferences,
- fostering a transparent and ethical business environment, promoting high standards of business ethics in the medical devices sector,
- maintaining a continuous dialogue with key decision-makers in the health system (e.g. Ministry of Health, National Health Fund, regulatory agencies) to represent the interests of the medtech industry.
MEDSILESIA Cluster
MedSilesia Cluster – the Silesian Network of Medical Devices, is an effective platform of cooperation for enterprises, institutions of higher education, and R&D units. The Cluster has developed an Industry Competence Centre, which aims to enable the exchange of experience, knowledge, and information, and its main objective is to improve the competencies of entities operating in the sector. The Cluster cooperates with numerous institutions and initiatives, implementing projects and ventures enhancing the potential of its members. Lublin Medicine Cluster

It’s main goals include:
- increasing Lublin’s image in Poland and abroad as a place where the medical and wellness businesses are thriving. This involves creating and popularizing the “Lublin Medicine” brand and promoting healthcare.
- developing the organisational potential of the Cluster by combining competences and resources of the Cluster members as well as using opportunities relating to the development of the innovative economy based on medical knowledge.

Klaster LifeScience Kraków

Polfarmed – Polish Chamber of the Pharmaceutical Industry and Medical Devices
Polfarmedis an organization uniting Polish companies involved in the manufacture and distribution of medicinal products and medical devices. The Chamber’s statutory objectives include:
- safeguarding the economic interests of its members,
- inspiring and influencing legislation related to pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and related raw materials,
- evaluating how legal regulations are implemented and function in practice for its members,

- promoting modern organizational, technical, and economic solutions,
- upholding ethical standards in business, by promoting norms of honest and responsible conduct.
Technomed
Technomed is a Polish Employers’ Organization representing companies active in the healthcare sector. Its members include manufacturers and distributors of medical devices, as well as entrepreneurs who provide services to healthcare entities.

Polish Medical Devices & Pharma Program
Between 2024 and 2029, the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development is implementing Polish Medical Devices&Pharma Program as part of a non-competitive project titled ‘Internationalisation of SMEs – BRAND HUB’, measure 2.26 of the programme ‘European Funds for a Modern Economy 2021-2027’ (FENG).
The main goal of the Program is to present the Polish offer of medical devices and pharma products and services among foreign partners and to promote Poland as a country producing advanced technologies and services, offering interesting and innovative solutions, and having the potential to develop on foreign markets.
The Programme is open to all Polish companies operating in the field of medical and pharmaceutical sectors and looking for foreign partners.
The Programme includes promotional activities aimed at promoting the medical and pharmaceutical sectors and the Polish economy through:
- organising information and promotional campaigns.
- organising national stands at major international trade fairs,
- preparing a report (e-book) in English containing an analysis of the Polish medical devices and pharmaceutical sectors,
