Industry description

Over the past few years, we have observed significant changes in all subsectors related to green technology in Poland. Photovoltaics and wind energy have experienced a dynamic growth in terms of capacity, while such other subsectors as biomass and bioenergy have demonstrated considerable potential for technological innovation. New trends, for example electricity grids have emerged, improving the efficiency and sustainability of energy distribution. Leveraging its vast experience in hydrogen-related technologies, Poland can play the key role in development of this sector. As social awareness grows, circular economy solutions are becoming increasingly common.

Why Poland?
  • Poland has strong technological capabilities in areas such as photovoltaics (development of innovative bifacial panels, mounting structures and microinverters), wind energy (particularly in turbine design and servicing, as well as logistics for offshore farms), biomass and biogas (development of effective systems for converting organic waste into energy and biomethane).
  • Polish companies often combine modern technologies with a flexible approach to implementation, which makes it easier to adapt to the needs of foreign partners.
  • Poland is one of the largest manufacturers of batteries and components for electric vehicles in Europe. Polish start-ups and companies are developing high-efficiency charging stations with intelligent energy management, vehicle-to-grid systems, electric buses and light commercial vehicles.
  • Polish companies are developing innovative methods of recycling and recovering raw materials, e.g. recycling rare earth metals from batteries, chemical recycling technologies for plastics,
  • the use of industrial waste in construction and energy.
  • Polish solutions are distinguished by their cost-effectiveness and scalability, which attracts foreign partners.
  • The technologies developed in Poland are designed in accordance with the requirements of the European Green Deal, the Fit for 55 package and the REPowerEU strategy, which guarantees regulatory and technological compatibility with EU markets.
